A Província dos Santos Mártires da Coreia tem aprovado três projetos de transição de energia da casa de repouso dos idosos de São Francisco e das fraternidades adjacentes.

- Redução e emissão de CO2: 17.439 (equivalente) tCO2/ano
- Eficiência elétrica (poupado) 2.000 USD/ano
3 – Painéis solares para eletricidade (Fraternidade Jangsung)
- Instalação: novembro 2019
- Capacidade: 18kW/h
A instalação dos painéis fotovoltaicos foi um fator econômico negativo a curto prazo quando se conceberam estes projetos há uns 11 anos. Tomaria um tempo grande a recuperação dos custos de inversão e não teríamos garantia para isso. Mesmo assim, o exterior da Casa dos Idosos por ser tão bonito que havia recebido um prêmio correria um grande perigo e dano em sua estética arquitetônica.
