“Il Signore vi dia pace!”
Cari confratelli, vorrei parteciparvi alcune attivita’ e idee della nostra Rivoluzione Laudato Si’.
Piano delle idee. Il primo pensiero è che tutte le idee che hanno a che fare con la casa comune, il creato, sono idee che hanno mani e piedi. Non possono solo rimanere discorsi. Questo principio orienta ogni tipo di iniziativa.
Nell’incontri è buona pratica – per metterci in ascolto del creato – collocare una sedia vuota (magari nella tavola degli invitati) con la scritta “Natura”, o “Creato”, o “Ambiente”, o “Biodiversita’”, o “Clima”, o “Continenete blu”, ecc. Per provocare la riflessione sul fatto che siamo noi esseri umani che parliamo e decidiamo per lei; ma lei parla in altro modo: risponde e/o restituisce conforme i nostri comportamenti e interazioni più o meno responsabili.
Altro aspetto: ad ogni incontro deve seguire una decisione ad adottare una pratica che diventi uno stile di vita: come disporre dei rifiuti, piantare alberi, coltivare, consumare in modo responsabile, orientarsi per energie rinnovabili, azioni concrete per gestire la risorsa acqua… come potete vedere nelle foto dei pannelli solari in un villaggio, per cui assistiamo al servizio pastorale.
Un’altro livello di impegno della nostra Missione Francescana è quella di contribuire non solo alla diffusione comunitaria di queste idee e pratiche, bensi’ di intervenire presso le deboli autorita’ politiche affinché sviluppino risposte nella stessa direzione, senza le quali afffondiamo in un mare di spazzatura sempre piu’ visibile. Il riciclo e riutilizzo delle cose è imperativo se vogliamo permettere ad altri di esistere domani. Stiamo letteralmente consumando un(il) mondo di miliardi di anni, riducendone la sua massa visibile a favore di un essere umano che vive pochi anni e poi sparisce…
Questo ci sta spingendo a riflettere su cosa e come costruiamo edifici per diverese finalita’. Esempio: quando avremo esaurito i giacimenti con cosa costruiremo? Abbatteremo edifici antichi per riciclarne la materia? Riutilizzeremo meglio edifici gia’ esistenti? Finalmente pianteremo milioni di alberi per tornare a costruire case in legno perché le piante ricrescono mentre i giacimenti no? Cambieremo stile di vita…?
Tutte queste idee/pratiche portano un marchio, che come animatore JPIC in Guiné-Bissau, che ho voluto denominare Green African Generation per evitare che il continente verde diventi troppo giallo (desertificazione), come stiamo gia’ sperimentando. Ossia, qualunque attivita’ umana deve fare i conti con la sua sostenibilita’ ambientale. Deve essere eco-compatibile. Garantisce la vita non solo dell’ambiente, ma di noi stessi che siamo parte del creato da cui non possiamo prescindere.
Per chiudere con una riflessione attuale: non posiamo limitarci a combattere un Coronavirus invisibile anche utilizzando respiratori di costruzione umana per avere ossigeno, quando continuiamo ad uccidere la riserva d’ossigeno naturale che sono le piante ed organismi vegetali marini. Le parole della recente vittima di razzismo George Floyd I can’t breathe (Non posso respirare), sono un segnale di allarme per l’umanita’ intera: rischiamo tutti di non poter piu’ respirare…
Possiamo rivoluzionare e rinnovare la nostra alleanza con Madre Natura. Con l’intercessione di San Francesco, crediamo che ovunque i nostri sandali lascino un’impronta, sarà una risposta amabile ed ecologica al dono della vita di Dio.
